About Rachael

Rachel A. Greene M.S. CCC-SLP, is a certified speech-language pathologist with 13 years’ experience in the field. She holds a Certificate for Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Rachel has experience across a broad spectrum of settings. She has spent time working with infants through geriatric population, in outpatient and non-profit clinics, as well as home health and in skilled nursing facilities. These settings allowed Rachel to work with a wide variety of speech and language disorders. By designing customized therapy plans to fit the needs of each client, she is able to work through roadblocks and plateaus that can sometimes occur during therapy. Shaping therapy plans around the life of the client, she is able to guide the client through treatment to facilitate better communication and ultimately help the client regain the ability to communicate and improve the quality of life.

Mission

Building a private practice allows us to place patient care as the number one priority. It allows our practice to determine the appropriate visits based on therapeutic value of the visits, not reimbursement value. We became speech pathologists to improve quality of life for all of our clients and to help our clients through difficult times.

How Does a Speech-Langauge Pathology Session Work?

Location

Our office is located in Colony Park on South Main Street in Blacksburg, to conveniently serve the communities of the New River Valley. We have ample parking, including handicap parking, and easy first floor access. We have comfy chairs, coffee and WiFi for parents and caregivers.
